A SHELTER OF ONE’S OWN 

Etxe Betea launches the first call for A Shelter of One’s Own. An international artistic residency whose main objective is to provide a safe space for creation and reflection, exclusively for women filmmakers from countries in armed conflict, contexts of political repression, lack of freedom of expression, or with little infrastructure and support for film production.

This programme takes as a reference the experience and learning accumulated during six editions of the residency A Room of One’s Own, consolidated as a space of reference for the development of films made by women.

Four Palestinian filmmakers have been selected for this first edition: Safaa Khatib, Shuruq Harb, Amal Al-Nakhala and Shereen Abedalkareem.

• Monthly mentoring and face-to-face meetings at Etxe Betea.
