A room of one’s own

The artistic residency A Room of One’s Own is the dream of a group of women filmmakers inspired by Virginia Woolf. A dream that changes shape year after year, thanks to the women who take part in the residency.

As a new feature of this call, instead of selecting two women filmmakers as in previous editions, four women filmmakers will be selected: two with projects in Basque and two with projects in any other language (including Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Aranese, Valencian, English, among others).

In addition, each residency will last four months, and applicants may choose to be considered for one of the following two residency periods:

· Autumn residency: September to December 2027.

· Spring residency: January to April 2027.

• A physical room of your own in the centre of Bilbao
• €2.500 to the participant chosen for the development of her feature-length film in Basque. 
• €2.500 to the participant chosen for the development of her feature-length film in another language.
• Face-to-face sessions at Etxe Betea
