
Alazne Astorga
Alazne Astorga is an actress and creator. Her studies include: a Master’s degree in acting for the camera at the Bizie school with Urko Olazabal, acting seminars with Andrés Lima, Manuel Morón at the Corazza school, Oriol Pla at La Abadia, Alessandra Garcia at the Olite festival, ADEL (Basque drama art laboratory) and the Meisner technique with Javier Galitó-Cava and Neus Suñe, among others.
All this has been accompanied by work in the audiovisual and theatre worlds, notably the short film BAT directed by filmmaker Ane Berriotxoa, selected for the Cannes Film Festival catalogue. UXINA, directed by Lucía Ezker, for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the Ledesma International Film Festival, and MARMARRA, a play she is currently working on with the ATX Teatroa theatre company.
She is currently developing her first feature film, YOLANDA, inspired by real events. Yolanda Gonzalez was murdered by two members of the Fuerza Nueva group on 1 February 1980.
