
Jone Arriola
Jone Arriola Lobete (Elgoibar, 1998) has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She also has a master’s degree in Film Direction from the Bande A Part film school in Barcelona. In 2021, she submitted a proposal for a fiction series aimed at young people called Larrugorritan with the help of Tabakalera’s 2DEO call for proposals. She is the creator of the project and, with this call for proposals, she developed the project and made the teaser as screenwriter and director. In 2023, she made her first short film, Dena Asmatuta Dago. It is a work produced by Katz Estudio and ECPV. She has participated in festivals such as Zinebi64 and Lesgaicinemad and was the winner of the Ganso de Oro at the Lekeitio Film Festival. In 2024, she made her second short film called Hor Konpon, which premiered at Zinebi64 and received the ‘Berria’ award at the HuheZinema festival.
She currently works as a screenwriter for production companies such as Pausoka and Orio Produkzioak.
